I am not exactly a sailor or a sea spirited person in any other way either but I decided to bring the sea theme into my jewellery collection despite that. The idea actually came from I joke: a friend of mine suggested I’d make “two same sized earrings just like those avocados of yours but sailing boats. Preferably miniature models of the ship called Meripurak.” Unfortunately I wasn’t exactly capable of executing the request precisely, but I did make sailing boats.

These earrings are also made of Fimo clay. For the ship itself I used regular white polymer clay but with the sails I wanted to experiment with Fimo effect “translucent white” clay which, as it name says, becomes translucent after baking. A fun detail if you ask me. If not, at least it separates the sail from the ship.
